The primary purpose of handling personal data is to deliver, process and archive customer orders. Access to the customer register and the personal data of the customers are processed only by Jyväskylän Kangaskauppa staff in so far as their work requires them. Data that is processed electronically is encrypted by passwords and firewalls on the e-commerce server. Manually maintained content is located in business premises that are locked outside of opening hours. Paper containing the customer's information (eg old accounting material) is properly disposed of.

Ordering does not require registration or joining the mailing list. In this case, only the information on that order will remain in the register, which we only keep for the time required to process the order. In addition, certain information must be maintained due to the statutory obligations. These include: accounting law that defines the information for longer retention periods, regardless of whether the material contains personal data or not.

Information that is stored separately at the customer's request is provided either at the time of ordering or by registering at the online store. In connection with the registration, we specifically ask for permission for sending our company marketing material or electronic newsletter. Customers can use their user account to eg. limit use of their information and change contact information. The information in the register will not be disclosed to third parties for marketing purposes.

The information in the register will not be disclosed to other parties, for marketing purposes or for monitoring purchasing behavior.
We will provide some necessary information to third parties to ensure delivery (mail carriers). Payment information is also passed on to the credit granting authority, but they are not recorded in the Jyväskylän Kangaskauppa customer register. Each credit payment provider has their own privacy statement that we recommend that our customers get acquainted with.
Additionally, the customer's order information may be transmitted when ordering products, for example, for a subcontractor. If you do not want to disclose the order information on to the seamstress etc, you should notify us when ordering. In this case, the delivery time of the order product is extended by about a week.

We will not disclose any minor changes, but the date of change will be reported under the heading of the Privacy Statement at the top of this page. Orders are processed in the order of their arrival. Delivery time is usually 3 - 7 work days from receiving payment. Information on backlog is reported on our front page news section. If for some reason we are out of the ordered product, you will be contacted.
We aim at being ecological in our operations so we recycle packaging materials. It is therefore possible that the order is packed in a previously used mail bag or cardboard box. Orders are packaged carefully. If, for some reason, the order arrives damaged, the condition of the order must be verified in the presence of the mail carrier staff when receiving the delivery from a pick up outlet. Damage must also be reported to sender as soon as possible in order to get recompence. Jyväskylän Kangaskauppa is not responsible for problems that are due to circumstances beyond our control such as broken or delayed shipments or totally unsent shipments caused by e.g. strike.

Check the accuracy and quality (e.g. prints on fabrics) of the order upon receiving it. If the content of the order is different from the receipt / invoice or there is some other complaint our customer service must be contacted by email or contact form within 14 days of receiving shipment.

Priority Postal Parcel
Items are tracked and delivered to the recipient’s address. Delivery times in Nordic countries 3 - 5 and European countries 3 - 7 and rest of the world 6 - 14 working days.

EMS (Express Mail Service)
Items are tracked and delivered to the recipient’s address. Delivery times in EU countries 1 – 3 working days and rest of the world 2 - 8 working days.


Return of flawed or incorrect product is free of charge. Please contact us within 14 days for further information.

Cut-to-order products are comparable to customized products and are non-returnable. Fabric complaints must always be made before washing or cutting. Complaints will not be processed if the knit, printing or colour error has been detected after cutting or has occurred during washing.

The following items are also not returnable: customized products that are manufactured or modified according to the customer's wishes, loose snaps (plastic and metal), re-usable sanitary towels/panty liners and menstrual cups.

The customer has the right to return/cancel other kinds of orders within 14 days of receiving it. To use this right and for more detailed instructions the customer must first contact us by email at info (at)

Returns without flaws are sent at customers own expense and must be done within 14 of receiving shipment. If the return is made at the expense of Jyväskylän Kangaskauppa Oy, the postage costs will be deducted from the amount of money refunded for the returned products.

Returned products must be totally unused and in their original packaging.


Orders can be made by persons aged 18 or over. Personal and address information will not be disclosed to third parties nor used for advertising without your consent.

We try to keep the stock situation in the online store as accurate as possible. However, sometimes there are delays in updates so we may not have the ordered product. In these cases the customer will be contacted. The product can be exchanged for something else, removed from order or the whole order is left waiting for restock.

All prices include value-added tax. The tax breakdown is shown in the shopping cart and order confirmation. Jyväskylän Kangaskauppa Oy reserves the right to change prices and is not accountable for any errors in product or price information.
